Phil Arnold

I am currently on Sabbatical until the beginning of August, so please contact Rev. Sue McWhinney in the meantime.

Hi, I’m Phil Arnold, I’ve been the vicar at St. Wifrid’s since 2013.

I have 2 kids, a dog and a temperamental cat. I love most sports, and I’m currently becoming reacquainted with my tennis racket after a break. I also play a bit of cricket in the summer and try to stay vaguely physically fit walking the dog and swimming. I have travelled quite a bit having grown up in Australia and Pakistan, but have called England my home since 2001.

I am very interested in how as a Church we can serve the local community and take people on a journey of faith.
At the moment, I’m working on a pathway for people to explore faith more deeply.

Here at St Wilfrid’s we are a church that is trying to eat together, learn together, pray together, and serve together.
I look forward to meeting you soon.
