We begin this service by singing ‘See What A Morning’:

See what a morning, gloriously bright,
With the dawning of hope in Jerusalem.
Folded the grave-clothes, tomb filled with light.
As the angels announce; Christ is risen!

See God’s salvation plan,
Wrought in love, Borne in pain, Paid in sacrifice.
Fulfilled in Christ, the Man,
For He lives, Christ is risen from the dead!

See Mary weeping, ‘Where is He laid?’
As in sorrow she turns from the empty tomb.
Hears a voice speaking, calling her name.
It’s the Master, the Lord, Raised to life again!

The voice that spans the years,
Speaking life, stirring hope, bringing peace to us.
Will sound till He appears,
For He lives, Christ is risen from the dead!

One with the Father, ancient of Days.
Through the Spirit who clothes faith with certainty.
Honour and blessing, Glory and praise.
To the King, crowned with power, and authority.

And we are raised with Him,
Death is dead, love has won, Christ has conquered.
And we shall reign with Him,
For He lives, Christ is risen from the dead!
(x2)
Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!
Earth and heaven in chorus say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia!

Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids him rise, Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!

Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once he died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where’s thy victory, boasting grave? Alleluia!

Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like him, like him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

Please now listen to the Readings at the top of this page, before continuing with the Sermon below.

We now sing ‘Happy Day’:

Greatest day in history.
Death is beaten, you have rescued me.
Sing it out; Jesus is alive.

The empty cross, the empty grave.
Life eternal, you have won the day.
Shout it out; Jesus is alive.
He’s alive!

And oh, Happy day, Happy day!
You washed my sin away.
Oh, Happy day, Happy day!
I’ll never be the same.
Forever I am changed.

When I stand in that place.
Free at last, meeting face to face.
I am yours, Jesus, You are mine.

Endless joy, perfect peace.
Earthly pain finally will cease.
Celebrate, Jesus is alive.
He’s alive!

And oh, Happy day, Happy day!
You washed my sin away.
Oh, Happy day, Happy day!
I’ll never be the same.
Forever I am changed.

Oh, what a glorious day,
What a glorious way.
That You have saved me!
And oh, what a glorious day,
What a glorious name… Hey!

And oh, Happy day, Happy day!
You washed my sin away.
Oh, Happy day, Happy day!
I’ll never be the same.

Forever I am changed.
What a glorious, glorious day,
I’ll never be the same!

We continue our service below with Intercessions & Communion.

In my wrestling and in my doubts,
In my failures you won’t walk out.
Your great love will lead me through.
You are the peace in my troubled sea.
You are the peace in my troubled sea.

In the silence, you won’t let go.
In the questions, your truth will hold.
Your great love will lead me through.
You are the peace in my troubled sea.
You are the peace in my troubled sea.

My Lighthouse, My Lighthouse.
Shining in the darkness, I will follow You.
My Lighthouse, My Lighthouse.
I will trust the promise,
You will carry me safe to shore.
(Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh).
Safe to shore, (Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Safe to shore, (Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Safe to shore.

I won’t fear what tomorrow brings.
With each morning I’ll rise and sing.
My God’s love will lead me through.
You are the peace in my troubled sea.
You are the peace in my troubled sea.

My Lighthouse, My Lighthouse.
Shining in the darkness, I will follow You.
My Lighthouse, My Lighthouse.
I will trust the promise,
You will carry me safe to shore.
(Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh).
Safe to shore, (Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Safe to shore, (Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Safe to shore.

Fire before us, you’re the brightest.
You will lead us through the storms.
(x4)

My Lighthouse, My Lighthouse.
Shining in the darkness, I will follow You.
My Lighthouse, My Lighthouse.
I will trust the promise,
You will carry me safe to shore.
(Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh).
Safe to shore, (Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Safe to shore, (Oh-oh-oh-oh-oh-oh)
Safe to shore!

Thank you for worshiping with us on Easter Sunday.
