We begin this service by singing ‘Meekness & Majesty’:

Meekness and majesty,
Manhood and deity,
In perfect harmony,
The Man who is God.
Lord of eternity,
Dwells in humanity,
Kneels in humility,
And washes our feet.

O what a mystery,
Meekness and Majesty.
Bow down and worship.
For this is your God,
This is your God.

Father’s pure radiance,
Perfect in innocence,
Yet learns obedience,
To death on a cross.
Suffering to give us life,
Conquering through sacrifice,
And as they crucify,
Prays Father forgive.

O what a mystery,
Meekness and Majesty.
Bow down and worship.
For this is your God,
This is your God.

Wisdom unsearchable,
God the invisible,
Love indestructible,
In frailty appears.
Lord of infinity,
Stooping so tenderly,
Lifts our humanity,
To the heights of His throne.

O what a mystery,
Meekness and Majesty.
Bow down and worship.
Bow down and worship.
Bow down and worship.
For this is your God,
This is your God.
This is your God.

Please now listen to the Readings at the top of this page, before continuing with the Sermon & Reflection below.

After reflection, we continue our service below.

We finish this service by singing ‘Lord Jesus Christ, You Have Come To Us’:

Lord Jesus Christ,
You have come to us.
You are one with us,
Mary’s Son.
Cleansing our souls from all their sin,
Pouring Your love and goodness in,
Jesus our love for you we sing,
Living Lord.

Lord Jesus Christ,
Now and every day.
Teach us how to pray,
Son of God.
You have commanded us to do,
This in remembrance Lord of you,
Into our lives your power breaks through,
Living Lord.

Lord Jesus Christ,
We would come to you.
Live our lives to you,
Son of God.
All your commands we know are true,
Your many gifts will make us new,
Into our lives your power breaks through,
Living Lord.
Into our lives your power breaks through,
Living Lord.

Thank you for worshiping with us on Maundy Thursday.
