Jo Jones is Deputy Head of Chaplaincy at Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and has worked for the NHS for 22 years.

Her team helps staff, patients and families meet their spiritual, pastoral, and religious needs. This includes providing information and education on spiritual care, taking funerals for patients who have died in hospital, offering services of blessing, naming and/or baptism, and emergency weddings.

She helps to provide care for patients at both difficult and joyful times, provide a listening ear for staff needing support and facilitate religious and non-religious celebrations throughout the year.

"I am proud to be part of the NHS because I know that it strives to provide the best possible care for all, always, and is served by people of compassion, concern and care for others. It is a gift for me to be part of something so wonderful and as a Christian and a Chaplain, it is most definitely part of my vocation in life."
