Newsy Email #71 - Thursday 27th June

Hi all,

Well we have lots to look forward to this coming weekend.

The Saturday Family Communion is on at 5.30pm, and on Sunday morning we have a Traditional Communion at 9am with hymns, and then a lively Family Service at 10.45, with worship led by Isaac and the band!
Children's groups will be on during the second service, thanks to our amazing teams of children's leaders.
If you would like to join this team, or find out more about what this might involve, please talk to Rachel or Kim.

On Sunday evening we have a special Evening Communion service with prayers for healing at 6.30pm. This will be a new style of service, with space to reflect, quieter music, a short sermon, and an opportunity to receive from God in the form of anointing. The service is designed for anyone who needs some breathing space in their lives, a time to re-connect with God, to be refreshed, and to pray for yourself, or for someone you care about.
Do come and give it a try.

Looking ahead, we have decided not to run Messy Church in July due to the Calverley Carnival which takes place at the same time, so the next Messy Church will be on 7th September, which will be a bumper one with renewed energy after the summer holidays in August!

On Saturday 6th July, you are invited to our Church Social Evening from 6.30 till 9pm in Church, with bring and share food, Ceilidh dancing (suitable for families, and those with no previous experience of Barn dancing!), and games.
Do bring a bottle if you wish, alcoholic or non-alcoholic, and we will provide the glasses. It's going to be a lot of fun, a great time for us all to socialise and get to know each other better, so do sign up on the list at the back of Church, and we'll see you there!

Finally, are you looking for some fresh ideas for a short daily Bible study and reflection? The Bible Society 'Lyfe' resources are highly recommended, especially the daily app for either your phone or tablet!
