Newsy Email #74 - Wednesday 17th July

Dear All,
Well it's been an eventful week!

An attempted theft of lead from the South aisle roof on Sunday night, but it's all been dealt with by our excellent team, and we've had lots of support from the community, which is great.

Richard our architect and his team have been doing some work on the tower too, repairing the bird-proof mesh and doing some maintenance work, which is why the school path has been closed.

Coming up this weekend, we have the last Saturday Family Service of term, 5.30pm with Canon Steve Allen preaching, which will be great. It's non-communion this time.

On Sunday morning, Steve is back again, preaching at both services, our 9am Traditional Communion, and the 10.45am Family Communion Service.

The next few weeks will be a bit quieter as the schools break up and some of our mid-week activities take a break.
But, we're looking forward to our 'Welcome Back Phil' party on Sunday 4th August, with bring and share lunch, immediately after the morning service.
Look out for the sign-up sheets at the back of Church, or speak to Sandra or Dan if you'd like to know more. We're hoping that lots of you can stay on after church to give him a special welcome back after his sabbatical.

With best wishes,
Revd Sue.
