Hi all,
We’re looking forward to the many things coming up over the next few weeks.
Messy Church is on at 3pm this Saturday with the theme of Mestival! On Sunday we have our regular 9am Communion and 10:45am Family Services.
Then we’re looking forward to our Heritage Open Days Weekend on 21st and 22nd. There will be stained glass and heritage tours with music and a flower festival on Saturday from 10am till 4pm, and flash performances of ‘The Yorkshire Tragedy’ at 12:30pm and 2:30pm. Ending the day with a concert from 'The String of Beads' at 7pm.
Following our regular Sunday services on 22nd, the weekend finishes with a 'Songs of Praise' with Jon playing the Organ, and The St. Wilfrid's Singers helping to lead. There will be a practice for the St. Wilfrid’s Singers on Tuesday 10th and Monday 16th at 7pm.
From 27th through 29th, our Bring a Friend Weekend will take place. We will have a Quiz on Friday night (sport & general knowledge) starting at 7:30pm. On Saturday at 3pm, there will be a 'Great Calverley Bake Off', with a several categories (in Church). The Saturday service will be on at 5:30pm. Then at 7:30pm, the Ceilidh will be on, with basic refreshments. And finally on Sunday, following our regular morning services, there will be a special Pet Service at 3pm.
All these community events are ‘Pay-as-you-feel’ and BYO.
