Hi all,

I hope you’re gearing up for the Christmas festivities.
Just a reminder that we have our Special Candlelit Carol Service tomorrow evening at 7pm in Church, for those missing someone.
Then on Saturday evening at 4pm, our main Christingle Service.
On Sunday morning we have our regular 9am Communion Service, followed by the Christingle Service at 10:45am.

On Christmas Eve, (just a week away!) we have our first Family Carol Service at 2:30pm in Church, which will include The Travelling Crib being delivered. Our second Family Carol Service is at 4:30pm in Church.
Both these services will have a mix of Organ, our Church Band, and some input from the School Orchestra. Both services will be busy, so come early!

Then at 7pm on Christmas Eve we have our Traditional 9 Lessons and Carols Service. We’re looking forward to Robin Gamble preaching this year.

Finally on Christmas Eve, our Midnight Communion Service at 11:30pm, which for the first time in 4 years, I’ll be leading!

On Christmas Day at 10:45am, we have our Family Communion Service.
Come in your Christmas jumper and with your quirkiest present!
(Preferably worth less than £10).

Looking beyond Christmas and into the new year, we’re going to be starting a series on the Psalms of Ascent. For those who want some extra inspiration, Eugene Peterson’s book ‘A Long Obedience in the Same Direction’ will be a good companion to the series.

Home groups are going to be looking at the Everybody Welcome resource. Welcome was identified earlier in the year as an area we need to work on.

I'd like to thank those who prayed for the 'Start! Course'. The group is keen to continue, and we’ll be going on with a ‘Moving On' Course in the new year.

Please also pray for our Tuesday night Youth Work, and our upcoming Marriage Preparation Course beginning at the end of January.

Finally, please remember Anne Raistrick in your prayers, who is currently in the LGI, and of course Malcolm and the whole family at this time.
