Newsy Email #105 - Friday 21st February

Hi all,

I hope those who have been on school holidays have enjoyed it, and everyone has survived the wind and rain this week!

This weekend we just have our usual Sunday morning services at 9am and 10:45am, and then a Baptism at 1pm. This is our final week on The Psalms of Ascent. I hope it’s been a rewarding series for everyone.

Next Wednesday 26th we have our Ash Wednesday Service at 7:30pm in Church. This is a special service of Holy Communion & Ashing and marks the beginning of Lent. Please don’t have Home Groups this week so you can come along to it.

The following week The Lent Course begins in Home Groups.
If you don’t attend a regular group, can I encourage you to join one for Lent?
You will need to order and read (only one reading each day) The Grace-filled Wilderness, by Magdalen Smith.

We are going to have a memorial service for Tony Coldwell on Wednesday 4th March at 1:30pm. Please do support Rosie, Becky, and Chris by coming along.

Dennis Steele is still in hospital, so please continue to pray for him, along with Kim Raja’s dad.

I hope and pray that as we go into Lent, God will be speaking to each of us about our walk with God and guiding us by his Spirit.

Blessings,
Phil.
