Newsy Email #190 - Thursday 17th September

Dear All,
Well what an amazing weekend, when we said goodbye to Phil and his family, and enjoyed being out in the sun. Some of you may be wondering, now what?...

Well our church is in good heart. We still have a great team in place as we continue to develop the life of our church, and we are looking forward to Canon Robin Gamble coming to join us in October. I’m sure that Robin will have lots of ideas for how we can keep growing in these challenging COVID times both as a church, and as individuals. We can all get involved in this, however long we have been coming to church, so watch this space!

This coming Sunday (20th) we have a Traditional Communion Service at 9am, and then an All-age Family Service at 11am. Children are very welcome at either service, we have lots of hand sanitiser available, and socially distanced seating, so do come along. Please remember that all those aged over 11 must wear a face covering. I’m so sorry that we can’t sing or use the flags in church, but we can still enjoy the worship! I’ll be preaching at both services this week.

Next Tuesday 22nd at 7:30pm, Phil will be licenced as Vicar of Christ Church, Upper Armley, in a small socially-distanced service, only open to those with invitations I’m afraid. However, their service will be broadcast live to their Facebook Page, so we can all watch it on the night here.
Do pray for Phil, Rachel, Ben, and Daisy, as they continue to settle in.

Looking ahead, we’ll be celebrating Harvest on 4th October at both Sunday morning services. We won’t be able to collect food donations for Bradford North Foodbank this year, but we'd still like to make a financial gift to support them.
If you’d like to join in with this, please bring your gift in a sealed envelope marked ‘Harvest’ (cheques payable to ‘Bradford North Foodbank’) or you can give online by clicking here. Thank you.

May God bless you all, and keep you safe,
Revd Sue - [email protected]
