A Message from Robin

Dear friends,

In response to the second lockdown the Archbishops and bishops are calling on us all to make the month of November a month of prayer. Leaders of other denominations are calling on their members to do the same. We are all then called to pray at six o'clock every night. This can be a simple couple of minutes prayer, or you can make it something more elaborate. You can do it in a quiet space in your home or whilst out walking the dog. You might find it helpful to read part of the Bible, light a candle, or play a bit of music. I often find it helpful to accompany a prayer time with a cup of tea. It strikes me that in offering up our prayers for the nation this could be for many of us a spiritual adventure.

Last Sunday, Dave spoke about using our time in lockdown to draw closer to God. This, praying nightly could be the doorway into this 'Deeper in Journey'.

The clergy only heard about this call to prayer last night, and so I am passing it on to you straight away. More info and ideas will follow, but for tonight, we are being asked to pray specifically the for the N.H.S. We will all know at least one person who works there, you might like to include them. And that's not just doctors and nurses, porters, cleaners, and cooks etc. Are all involved too.

For everyone, God Bless us all, as we seek to be a blessing to others,
Robin
