Newsy Email #202 - Friday 4th December

Firstly, a message from Robin:
After playing COVID Hokey-Cokey for the last few months, it will be great to be back in church this Sunday, and for the foreseeable future.
We've been building up a strong spiritual momentum over recent weeks and it will be good to be back together again in our beautiful church.
This Sunday we continue our Advent journey together and then in to Christmas.
I hope lots of us can be there at 9 or 11am.
God Bless, Robin

Our Christmas Messy Church will be shared tomorrow morning, with lots of great songs, crafts, and stories. If you still need a craft bag so that you can join in with the activities at home, please email [email protected] and we’ll try to get one to you.

On Sunday morning, both our services are Communion, and Jonathan will be playing at 9am.

Our Light in the Darkness project has been going really well so far.
Our Advent cards now are available in church if you’d like to pick some up for your friends and neighbours. And if you’d like to book seats for any of our Christmas services, please do so by emailing [email protected], or by speaking to Sandra in Church this Sunday.

Have you been following our Daily Advent Bible verse on Facebook?
There have been some wonderfully encouraging verses chosen by members of our congregation. Do take a look at our Facebook page to see them.

The flower team would like to decorate church next Saturday 12th December.
If you have any greenery, especially ivy and Christmas tree trimmings, please bring them on the 12th between 9 and 10am. Thank you.

Thank you everyone for your generosity in supporting The Bradford North Foodbank Christmas Appeal. We’ve had a wonderful response so far, and the Foodbank were delighted to receive your gifts.

There’s going to be a new Christians Against Poverty debt centre in Shipley.
If you’d like to find out more, Shipley Christians Together will be holding a YouTube Advent Service with a special section on the new Debt Centre and the Foodbank this Sunday at 6.30pm. You can watch it on their YouTube channel.

So may God bless us and shine his light on us this Advent,
Revd Sue
