Dear Friends,

Well Christmas approaches, and with it for many of us some uncertainty as we wait to see if family members can travel to see us, or whether we’ll decide the risk is not worth it. So this coming Sunday, the Third Sunday of Advent, when some churches light a pink candle to symbolise joy, is timely.
Jesus came to give us joy, and to lift us out of despair, so let’s hold on to this precious gift of joy, whatever the uncertainty we are living with.

On Sunday morning we have a Communion service at 9am, and a Family Service at 11am. Richard is preaching at both, so do come and support him.
Please can I remind you of the Tier 3 restrictions in place? Although we can attend church services, we should leave at the end without staying for a chat with anyone outside our family bubble. I know it’s hard, but we really must do what we can to keep each other safe, and to minimise the possibility of infection being transmitted.

This Sunday we're also going live with our first public livestream of the 11am service. If you would prefer not to be in the livestream or video recording, which will be live on our YouTube channel, please do not sit in the middle front rows.
The camera will be focussed on the front, on those leading, preaching, reading, and presiding at the communion table.
We have taken the decision to live stream services to enable those unable to attend church to have a more real experience of joining us for worship online, and we hope that it will be a blessing.

We have a wonderful range of Christmas services coming up, and almost all are now fully booked. With all the extra services, we will need to clean church more often in the coming weeks to keep us all safe.
