Newsy Email #211 - Friday 5th February

Dear Friends,
Well I wonder how you’re getting on with our Jesus 100 journey?
Some of us are reading the Jesus 100 reflections at night, some first thing in the morning, some are enjoying discussing them online in their Home Groups, others are reflecting on the journey on their own, but there seems to be a gathering sense of us all being on this journey together, which is great.
We are linking into the Jesus 100 Bible readings in our online Morning Prayer and in our Sunday sermons, and we’d love to hear how you are getting on with them.

Robin spoke about how Jesus used to go to a quiet place to pray, and how he begins each day with Jesus, making space to be with him each morning, with a cuppa, in his sermon last week. You can listen here if you missed it last Sunday.

And I’ll be speaking about ‘setting off on a journey’ in our Family Communion service this coming Sunday, linking in with Mark 1:16-20.
Do join us online at 9am on our YouTube channel so we can worship ‘together’, and if you’d like to join us for after-church Online Coffee, please click here at 11am on Sunday morning.

We’d love to share some more snippets of good news from members of the congregation as we gather together online, so if you have some news, please let me know, so we can share it as a church family.
Hot off the press is news of the safe delivery this week of Alexander Roundhill, to Lucy and Jack, and proud new grandparents Margaret and Michael!

The Messy Church team have been busy again, and this Saturday we have online Messy Church, on a theme of Candlemas, celebrating the names of Jesus in lots of creative ways with songs, stories, and crafts, so do join us on Saturday morning on our YouTube channel.

Finally, if any of you missed the Living in Love and Faith evening last Tuesday and would like to find out more about the resources available, do please contact me on [email protected].

So may God bless us, refresh us in these wintery days, and set our hearts on fire with love for him!
Revd Sue
