We have rolled away the stone in Calverley!

Dear Friends,
Well, we’ve had a glorious Easter, made possible by a wonderful team effort, involving:

• Brenda, and all those who hosted the Easter Trail scenes, which have sparked a lot of really interesting conversations around the village.
• A great team of volunteers who delivered our Easter cards to every house in the village.
• The churchyard team who created the most amazing Garden Tomb complete with large ‘stone’ to roll away on Easter morning, as well as keeping our church grounds looking beautiful for the benefit of the whole community.
• The flower team who decorated St Wilfrid’s beautifully.
• The worship team, including clergy and service leaders, Jonathan, Becky, Toby, and David on AV, all those on camera duty for live streamed services, Intercessors, readers, Sandra, and Dan who booked people in for services, John for moving chairs, and all those who help with setting up.
• The Church cleaning team.
• Sarah and Sandra who lovingly made Easter Egg gifts for the children to find, and the What’s the Story Team for their gift of an Easter book for every child who came to church on Easter Day, as well as making YouTube videos of the Easter Story for the schools.
• And all of you who joined us for worship!

I think we can add the Alpacas, and all those who care for the animals to this list as well. Hopefully you’ll be able to catch up with John and the Alpacas on Look North tonight, as well as the articles in the Yorkshire Evening Post, West Leeds Dispatch, and the diocesan E-news.

Coming up this Sunday (11th April) we have a Communion service at 9am, and a Family Service at 11am, which will be streamed live to our YouTube channel at the same time.

Online Morning Prayer will start up again next week (12th April) and the team will continue to use the Jesus 100 readings, so do join them if you can as we continue on this journey together as a church.
