Newsy Email #224 - Saturday 1st May

Dear Friends,

We have a special focus this week on children and young people.
Those of you who are following the Jesus 100 readings may recall Robin’s reflection on Wednesday:

We care about and provide for children’s material, physical, and educational development, but what about their spiritual growth?

On Sunday morning, Robin will be preaching on what must be the most important thing for children and young people to discover in their lives; that Jesus welcomes children, loves them, and wants to bless them.
Do come and hear what he has to say, it’s a really important subject, and we’d love to see lots of young people in church on Sunday. We have Communion services at 9am and at 11am, and the 11am service is particularly geared towards children and young people, though families are welcome at both.
No need to book, just come!

Also, we have our APCM (annual church meeting) on Monday 17th May at 7:30pm, a time to review with thanksgiving what we have achieved over the past year, and to look forward with hope to all that this year will bring.
If you come to church regularly, please make sure that your name is on the electoral roll (please email [email protected] to find out more about this). The report booklet for the year 2020 can be read online here.

May God bless you and fill you with his hope and boldness,
Sue and Robin.
