Sunday 23rd May is Pentecost Sunday. This is the day when we think of the coming of the Holy Spirit and it's often described as the birthday of the church.
After a lot of lockdown and seemingly endless social distancing I thought it would be a good thing this year to celebrate Pentecost as a:

The flock of St. Wilfrid’s is gradually re-forming. New faces and old faces are re-appearing. It feels as though we are coming together in a newer, refreshed, and deeper way. And apart from all that it's just great to see everyone again.
So let us make Sunday 23rd May a special day for us all.

Coming back to this weekend, we have Sunday services at both 9am and 11am on 9th, you don’t need to book, and we’d love to see you. John will be preaching at 9am on being part of the church community, and Dave Edwards will be preaching at 11am.

Please pray for the process of appointing a new Vicar of Calverley.
The latest applications are in, and interviews are due to be held next Tuesday.
Please pray that the person of God’s choice is appointed.

Finally, Sunday 16th May is Sue’s last Sunday with us.
Sue will have more to say about this next week, but please come if you possibly can to either the 9am or the 11am service on 16th.
