Back to Church Sunday

I know, I know, I know, kids’ football is consuming, cricket is captivating, and the caravan is calling! But can I also blow a trumpet and wave a flag for our upcoming ‘Back to Church Sunday’?

God is gradually re-calling and re-forming his Calverley flock of sheep and we are following and responding to his call. Every week seems a bit more like ‘we are back’! Except we are not fully back yet, but we are still working on it.

This Sunday is Pentecost, the day of the Spirit, the Church's birthday.
We want to take a big step forward, hence ‘Back to Church Sunday’!
So, may I call upon every one of us who is able to make a big effort to be there, either at 9am or 11am?

Enter into his gates with thanksgiving, and into his courts with praise’.
Hope no one minds me speaking like this, but we do want Sunday to be a bit special. Oh, and there will, for the first time in a while, be a children’s event at 11am!

Revd. Canon Robin Gamble
