Jesus 100 Conclusion

I have read these Gospel tales time and time again. They still keep coming to me as fresh, all powerful, moving, inspirational, and true eye-witness stories.
Each time I read them I still hear and see and feel the real presence of Jesus.
You might want to go back to the beginning yourself and read, not just my selection of 100 stories but the whole Gospels themselves.
Or you could move on to the ‘Acts of the Apostles’, the next great chapter in the ever-continuing mega tale of Jesus, his people and his Kingdom.

Now, as I finally reflect on these 100 stories of Jesus, as I think of myself as one finding him, following him, and becoming like him, I am thinking of doors and doorways. Doors are wonderful things because they open for us to enter new rooms, new houses, and gardens and they often lead to us meeting new people.

My favourite doorway story is ‘The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe’.
As with many other children, when I first read it I was desperate to find a wardrobe with a secret door into Narnia. It was much later that I realised that Jesus, himself, is the doorway, or the door opener.

‘Ask and it will be given to you. Seek and you will find.
Knock and the door will be opened to you.'

Matthew 7:7

There is another and final doorway in the Jesus story. Except this time, he is the one who is knocking on the door and I am the one, in fact the only one, who can open it.

'Here I am! I stand at the door and knock. If anyone hears my voice and opens the door, I will come in and eat with that person, and they with me.'
Revelation 3:20

Who on earth would not want Jesus to come in and sit and eat with them?
All I have to do is open the door.
