The Book of Acts - Week 1

The book of Acts is a natural follow on from Jesus 100. If the Gospels are Volume 1 of the Gospel story, then Acts can be seen as Volume 2, as the message and experience of Jesus is taken out to the world.
Mark, Matthew, Luke, and John show us Jesus on his epic journey from Galilee to Jerusalem. In Acts the journey begins afresh in Jerusalem and goes to Rome.

There's 28 chapters to the Book of Acts. Here I am simply picking out one reading from each chapter. Time does not allow me to do a full book as with Jesus 100, but I can manage one brief comment to accompany each reading.

I have read the Acts many times over the years. It is a fast moving, challenging, but exciting story. Stephen, Peter, Simon the magician, Timothy the circumcised, Barnabas the encourager, and of course, Paul the great evangelist all combines to give it a great range of characters.

Read, love it, and it will change your life.
