Newsy Email #243 - Friday 24th September

Hello there everyone – I hope this finds you well.

This Sunday, we’re finishing our time in the book of James, and we’ll be thinking about prayer. I’ve been reminded that prayer is one of the simplest, and yet oddest and most faith-filled thing a Christian does. To dare to imagine that when we sit and think or talk to the universe, rather than a cold implacable fate, or an empty indifferent nothing, there is not just something, but someone listening.
Indeed, not just listening; caring.

Wow. For such an ordinary day-to-day thing in the life of a Christian, when I stop and think about it, I’m still amazed.

This week, as we explore what praying is, what it looks and sounds like in different seasons, my prayer is that we all notice the wonder and privilege of what we get to do when we pray.

Join me at one of the services this Sunday to discover more.
9am Traditional Holy Communion Service.
11am Family Worship Service (with children’s group going out).

Every Blessing,
Rob
