Newsy Email - Wednesday 4th July
Hi all,

We have a busy fortnight planned starting tomorrow at 6pm with the Cricket Match in Calverley Park against Pudsey Parish Church. Come along and enjoy. It’ll be great fun and is forecast to be lovely too. The bar will be open, and we’ll have a tea too. Though this is not dinner!

Coffee Shop is open on Friday.
And then on Saturday, Messy Church at 3pm. Although something else is taking place too, this is an alternative plan.

On Sunday, we have our two morning services focussing on the 9th week of Team Building, looking at Problem solving.
Then on Sunday afternoon, we’re having a service to celebrate the NHS.
This is an opportunity just to say thank you and to enjoy a cream tea.
It’s not just for staff! So do come along and enjoy.

On Wednesday, we have our final JSP Team Building event at 7pm in Church. Come along for a BBQ followed by worship and discussion.
It is the same evening as the run in the woods that the school are running.
We are going to provide some refreshments after the run for people.
It’s going to be messy and might seem difficult to have two things seeing on together in Church, but what better way to demonstrate to people that we care and to see what we do.

On Saturday 14th we have our Celebration Meal in The Barn. We’ve had to be a bit restrictive this year just because of the numbers involved and it’s in the barn. So please do get RSVPs from the invitations by this Sunday.

Finally, on Sunday 15th we’ll be completing our series on Team Building.

Looking ahead, I’d be grateful if you could put to dates in your diary:
Firstly, from Friday 21st till Sunday 23rd September we’ll be having another weekend of fun and outreach. More details to follow, but if you are away that weekend, you’ll miss out on lots of great fun.
And finally, from Monday 12th till Sunday 25th November, we’ll be hosting the WYDAN Winter Shelter. During that period, we’ll have up to 10 destitute refugees sleeping in Church.
More information will follow but I’m excited about the opportunity to serve in this way.

Blessings,
Phil
