Hello Everyone,

Whilst Rob takes a break, we say goodbye to Storm Dudley and hello to Storm Eunice. I hope you’ve all stayed safe and managed to hold on to your wheelie bin! However bad the wind & horizontal rain have been this week, I have still seen glimpses of beauty. An abundance of rainbows, the moon so bright, and the snowdrops in the churchyard.
The sun doesn’t always have to be out to give thanks to the Lord. - Seek out the beauty even during these stormy times.

Leaning Towards Lent
Just a reminder that we have lots of events lined up for the coming seasons, get your diary out and save the dates! Don’t forget you can keep up to date with what’s going on by checking out the noticeboards around Church and by visiting our website and our Facebook page.

Pancake Day – Tuesday 1st March
Pop along to The Barn anytime between 6:30-9pm for a ‘Flipping Great Pancake Party’! We’ll provide the pancakes, lemons, & sugar to go on top.
If you fancy any other toppings, bring them along!
This event is free and open to all ages. Come along & join the flipping fun!

Ash Wednesday Communion - 2nd March
Our Ash Wednesday Communion Service with ashing will be in Church at 7pm. Join us as we begin Lent by being marked with ash with the sign of the cross.

Messy Church – Saturday 4th March (3-4:30pm)

Lent – Sunday 6th March
Our first Sunday in Lent will look a little different. Join us at 10am in church for a special joint service reflecting on Lent & continuing to look at the vision for Calverley Parish Church, and what ‘Time & Talent’ we are called to explore at church.

Living in Love & Faith (Week 1) - Tuesday 8th March, 7-9pm
This course will explore what it means to live in love and faith together as a Church. How do questions about identity, sexuality, relationships, and marriage fit within the bigger picture of the good news of Jesus Christ?
This is a safe place to explore these questions with each other.
Small groups will be invited to do the course, and we will also be running it in the Church on Tuesday evenings. This is a 5-week course, later dates to be confirmed. To book a place, please contact [email protected]

Mothering Sunday – 27th March
Join us in church on Mothering Sunday where we will celebrate & reflect on the special people in our lives, including their mothering qualities.
