He is (Nearly...) Risen!

Hello All,

I so love Easter at church. For many years I didn’t have Easter at my home church; as a teacher, I often took advantage of the school break to go away, either on holiday or visiting family. I have seen Easter services at churches around the country, even around the world, and it's always a time of joy and excitement as well as one of deep gratitude for what Jesus accomplished for us all, a time I reconnect with the deep centre of my faith. He died for me and loves me, despite my many flaws; He is Risen, I remember, and I delight; all else fades in comparison. To celebrate all that among the people I am walking through life with and shaping my faith with is an extra blessing.

I hope this year you will be able to join with us in the highs and lows of Easter, to sit and stay at the foot of the cross on Good Friday, and then join us to sing and feast and party on Easter Sunday. This Easter, I am grateful for you all, for many journeys I am invited to travel with you.

God bless you all,
Rob

Join in ‘Beating the Bounds’ - a traditional 8 mile walk around the boundaries of Calverley undertaken by the villagers to reinforce the traditional extents of the village. Sponsored by Calverley Rotary Club, this year it's raising money for the Ukraine appeal. Starting & finishing at The Calverley Arms, it's a scenic route, hilly in places, passing through livestock fields and can be muddy.
