Sweet Friendships Refresh The Soul

As I write this, I smile, I’m considering how lucky I am to have such an amazing support network of amazing friends around me, I am fortunate that I have been away with them this weekend, 8 Mums travelled to Rosedale Abbey, such a beautiful little village in North Yorkshire, so little the local school only had 19 children attending, which was to our amazement, especially as quite a few of our group work in schools. The views were a delight, in the middle of the countryside. Thankful to God for this experience and views. Our weekend was a joyous couple of days, relaxing in our beautiful home we had rented for two nights, to be able to relax in the hot tub, lounge on the sofas, eat lovely foods, mainly cakes and chocolates, drink tea and the odd bottle of Prosecco! There was lots of laughter and fun.
It was a much-needed break from our busy regular lives. I appreciated that we were all so thankful for life and of course our husbands that were home looking after our children and running to and from the relentless activities we have on.

It is in my prayers that everyone gets chance to relax and unwind at some point with friends and family in this crazy busy world we all live in.

Love & Blessings,
Claire

Romans 15:4

This week we welcome Dave Edwards, focussing on Bible Sunday & God's word.
Do come and join us at either 9:15am or 11am. Tea & coffee served between services, and don’t forget to bring your own mug (B.Y.O.M.)!

Go Deeper
Our new 'Go Deeper' notes are a chance to look at issues from that week’s sermon in some more detail, and to help us engage with how our faith and our lives work together. If you would like to receive these weekly notes by email, please click here to sign up.

Happy Anniversary!
On 27th October 1962, my parents, Michael and Veronica Child (nee Cocker) were married in Calverley Parish Church by Mr. Lane.
This week they celebrate their 60th Wedding Anniversary.
Veronica was born in Hawthorn Grove, christened in the church, attended the church school, sang in the choir, and taught in Sunday School. She met Michael at the Church Youth Club in 1955, and often talk about the various pantomimes they both enjoyed acting in. They still remain friends with other members of the church and Youth Club from that time and are now enjoying their retirement in Cornwall. Congratulations to them both!
