Newsy Email - Wednesday 31st October
Hello all,
I hope you’re enjoying the half term break.

Please pray for Pat Collinge who has recently returned home from hospital. As well as Adam who is recovering from a knee injury. Pat would welcome visitors, If you could contact me I can give you contact details.

On Saturday, Messy Church is taking place at 3pm with an Advent Theme. There is going to be marshmallow roasting, say no more!

On Sunday at 10:45am we have Pam McNoughton coming from CPAS to speak about leadership and church life. For those who want an early start, the 8:30am service is also on.

Remembrance Sunday is fast approaching. This is always a highlight and as the 100th anniversary of Armistice Day, it has a special significance this year.
The Church Bells will be playing at different points in the day, joining many churches across the country ringing to mark this occasion. As well as the morning service at 10:30am (starting at the Cenotaph at 10am), there will be a service at 3pm at Brookfield. A beacon will be lit at the top of Woodhall Rd (in a field) at 7pm.

On 12th November, the WYDAN Night shelter Project will begin. Thanks for all those who have signed up. We’ve done really well on the overnight stays, which is the most challenging slot to fill. There are however lots of other opportunities to get involved. Be a bit care free with booking, rather than being too conservative. You will be blessed.

Then we’re into Christmas! And we’ll look forward to that too.

One note for tonight, we had hoped Rev Andi would join us from St Aiden’s Harehills, but she is still not quite back to full strength so we’ll be postponing the meeting at the vicarage. Please do pray for Andi in her ministry in a tough parish.

We look forward to seeing you soon!

Blessings,
Phil
