Newsy Email - Saturday 22nd December
Hi all,

We’re about to have our first Christingle this afternoon at 4pm, and the Church is all decorated for Christmas. Lovely!
I hope that you will be joining us over the next few days.

Tomorrow we have our 9am Communion Service. Will Talbot who is on placement from Ridley Hall, Cambridge, will be preaching for this 4th Sunday of Advent. Please do come along and make sure you’re an encouraging audience. We then have our second Christingle at the 10:45am service.

On Christmas Eve, we’re going to have the most services in a single day at St. Wilfrid’s for 860 years - 5!. At 10:45am the Crib will be welcomed back in our Family Crib service, with Sue preaching and Will leading worship.

Then at 2:30pm and 4:30pm the Family Carol Services will take place with the school involved. At 7pm, 9 Lessons and Carols. And finally at 11:30pm, the Christmas Midnight Communion.

Particular thanks to Jon and Toby, who between them will be at all of these services.
I anticipate we’ll have around 1,000 people worshipping on Christmas Eve at St. Wilfrid’s. Let’s pray it’s special for all of them.

Then on Christmas Day, we have our Family Christmas Communion, with Sue preaching and the band leading worship.

In all the busyness, let’s not forget the reason for the season and worship the risen Lord as we focus on His birth.

Blessings,
Phil.
