Newsy Email #59 - Saturday 20th April
Dear all,

Well this will be my last Newsy Email for a few months, and how nice to be sending it at Easter, during a Spring heat wave!

We’ve had a lovely Easter walk today, with moving performances. We also had a nice Maundy Thursday evening service, and then Good Friday services in the morning and a lovely Hour at the Cross service too in the afternoon.

So, now tomorrow morning's Vigil, Service of Light, and the joint Family Communion & Baptism service await!

Thank you to all of you who have filled out questionnaires. There were some common themes:
- Communication once you’re involved and receive emails and check our Facebook page is good, but at first is not so good.
- Welcome is an area that people feel could be improved, with some more organisation required.
- Lots of positive feedback about children and Youth work, with a recognition that we need more leaders.
- Some questions about how prayer is organised and done.
- A general view about developing spiritual maturity as a priority.
- A desire to build on community involvement.

It’s odd going on Sabbatical once lots feedback has come in like this… but it’s a really helpful baseline and will be taken forward both while I’m away, and when I get back. It also gives me some useful material to reflect on while I’m away to plan for the future.

I won’t be actively engaging in Church activities over the next three months. What I will be doing however, is praying for you all. Do support each other and have a grace filled bias! Thank you all for your hard work so far this year.

I look forward to seeing you tomorrow!

Blessings,
Phil
