Newsy Email #62 - Wednesday 8th May
Dear All,

Well we have a bumper weekend coming up! On Saturday the Mother's Union group are holding a Coffee morning 10am to 12 noon in the Barn, £3 admission to include tea/coffee, buttered scone, and a lovely selection of cakes.

There are a range of services to choose from at the weekend. We have the Saturday Family Communion at 5.30pm; a lively all age service with great worship And on Sunday our traditional 9am Communion and 10.45 Family Service, with Bishop Chris Edmondson preaching at all 3 services!

On Sunday evening we have another 'Youth Event' for young people aged 11 and upwards, 7pm in church, with games, live music, hot chocolate, and Kim speaking on the theme of 'belonging'.

Do pray for our young people, especially those with exams coming up, and also for those who are in hospital, or missing someone special at the moment.

I've been struck recently by how many lovely people there are in our Church family who really put themselves out to make things happen, like the team who made John and Pauline's surprise 50th wedding anniversary party so special last weekend, and the Churchwardens who are always first there and last to leave at every service and event.
We have an opportunity to show our support for them at the 'Archdeacon's Visitation' next Tuesday (14th May) at Holy Trinity Cookridge (7pm start) when they will make their promises to serve for another year. It's a huge responsibility, and we're so thankful for all that they do on our behalf.

Have a good week!

With best wishes,
Revd Sue
