#13: Barnabas and Saul Sent Off

Acts 13:1-3

Now in the church at Antioch there were prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen (who had been brought up with Herod the tetrarch) and Saul. While they were worshiping the Lord and fasting, the Holy Spirit said, “Set apart for me Barnabas and Saul for the work to which I have called them.” So after they had fasted and prayed, they placed their hands on them and sent them off.

There are two things going on in Acts. One, the church is constantly being persecuted and two, the church is constantly growing. What would it take for the church throughout our land, or throughout Leeds to be a growing church? For St. Wilfrid’s, as we come out of lockdown, how do we get back into growth?
Barnabas is called by God, set apart by the church leaders and sent on his way with the support of the full church at Antioch. What sort of ministry is God calling you to? And what sort of support do you need?
