Dear friends,

We are in a situation that is changing daily so we’ll be providing regular information about what is happening and what we will do to respond.

Firstly, the isolation advice for the over-70s affects a large number of our congregation. Many will have family who can shop for them, but not all. And some have family who live away. As a result I’d like to suggest for those who need supplies, they email me at [email protected].
I will make sure that a shop is done twice a week for essential items covering food, hygiene, and other things that people deem essential. To support this, I would ask those who feel they could help with distribution, if you could let me know, that would be really helpful too.

There's been no more official guidance from the Church of England today after announcements yesterday. But as soon as they come through, I’ll let you know.

Prayer
Secondly in terms of school, I know there are 4 teachers off today (not with symptoms themselves), and kids too, with the new measures. So, please pray for the teachers at both Calverley C of E School, Parkside, and all other schools we have connections with. 

Also, do remember to support and pray for those in the health professions, particularly those who work in A&E, respiratory, elderly care, infectious diseases, and intensive care. We do give thanks for our wonderful NHS.

This is a difficult time for those supporting the elderly who are vulnerable, and people undergoing cancer treatment. Do remember to support & pray for them.

Remember that we are to look out for others, but also to maintain good self-care. Try to focus on what you can do, and remember that we are here to support you and to pray for you all.
