Newsy Email #157 - Tuesday 2nd June

Dear friends,

I hope you are all well.
This has been another odd week, with riots in the UK, and debate about kids going back to school this week.
It’s a time of change, and in some ways a time of feeling like being in exile. So, I thought we’d do a short series on the first chapters of Daniel on Wednesday. Daniel was in captivity in Babylon and has some lessons for us.

Please pray for our key workers, who continue to work very hard.
Please pray for our local care homes, and all those who are currently struggling with health issues and isolation.
Please pray for those in this country who are living in poverty, particularly in the Leeds and Bradford area at this time.
Give thanks that yesterday was the lowest number of deaths for some time.

Our Daily Morning Prayer Services continue to be premiered on our YouTube channel every weekday morning at 8am (apart from Wednesdays).

Finally, a reminder that you can now Give Online by going to:
calverley.church/giving.
Thank you.

Blessings,
Phil
