Important Newsy Email #160 - 10th June

Dear friends,

Please click here to watch today's Communion Service, focussing on the 2nd chapter in the book of Daniel.

Over the last month I’ve been thinking and praying about when to move and how to manage it. There's no right way of doing this.
I had really hoped (and still hope) to have time to catch up with people.
As I’ve followed the news and seen how things have developed, I think there is still a lot of uncertainty about how things will develop. And so, I feel that moving when we had originally planned to in September is still the best option to provide clarity for everyone.
Rachel and I still hope to get married in July, assuming that the government allows this (not the case as yet), then it will open the door to moving.
With this in mind, we are looking at a final service on Sunday 13th September. Sadly, this may have to be online, or perhaps live. However we do it, we’ll make sure it’s a very special service.
The Licencing Date at Christ Church, Upper Armley will then be on Tuesday 22nd September at 7:30pm.

I’m hoping to arrange a way we can have a socially distanced way of seeing people in small groups over a couple of days. So, rather than seeing everyone at a final service and ‘do’, we will host an opportunity to meet with people, most likely in the Vicarage garden, and say Goodbye that way. I think this would be a lovely way to be able to see people and have some quality time before we go.

After 7 and a ½ years, where so much has happened for our family, and so many of you have been a blessing too, it’s a really difficult thing to be leaving.
Know that we love you and are so grateful for all you have given to us.

Blessings,
Phil
