Newsy Email #162 - Sunday 14th June

Dear all,

I hope you can join us for worship in our service this morning.
Please click here to watch, featuring Dave, Sylvia, Fiona, Terrence, and Boris!
Afterwards, please click here at 11am to join us for our Online Coffee Morning.

This week has been a momentous week in the UK for the Black Lives Matter Movement. Please pray that protests in Leeds and in other parts of the UK are peaceful and meaningful.

This week we're also called to pray for:
• The recently bereaved and their families.
• All those still working on the front line, particularly for adequate PPE.
• For a vaccine this year.
• We give thanks for progress that's been made with track & trace and testing.
• We give thanks for our friends and family at this time.

Starting tomorrow, our Church building will be opening for prayer.
We will be open 11am - 1pm on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

On behalf of myself, the Churchwardens, and our PCC, a full risk assessment has been performed and various measures will be in place to make it safe:
• A clear one-way system in to and out of the building.
• Notices explaining the procedures for visitors.
• Hand sanitiser gel to be applied upon arriving and leaving the Church.
• Socially distant seating.
• No use of the toilets in Church.
• The doors will remain open so no handles need to be touched.
• A maximum of 10 people in the Church building at any one time.
• 2 people present to wipe down seats after use.
• The use of the main Nave only for prayer.
• Another door open at the front of Church for ventilation.
As you can see, we have put measures in place to make it as safe as possible.
We want to pray in church, and this season is a time when the Church has an opportunity to stand up and pray like never before.
We just ask that all use common sense when applying the measures in place.

Blessings,
Phil
