Newsy Email #180 - Friday 7th August

Dear friends,

If you'd like to join our Morning Prayer service today, please click here.

Yesterday we remembered the Transfiguration: An event where the disciples see Jesus in a new way. - Let’s make that our aim for this week.
This Sunday we will be worshipping together both in Church and online.
This week is a more Contemporary Family Service at 10am (no Communion).
John Corbin will be preaching on Peter & Jesus walking on water.
Please remember that everyone over 11 must wear a mask or face covering, and we all remain seated during the service to maintain social distancing.
We're using a basic track & trace system upon your arrival into Church, collecting names and phone numbers that we keep for just 21 days.

Over the last 4 months we've been collecting food donations, and more recently have been open for regular private prayer. We’ve decided that next week will be the final week, since it seems to have come to a natural end for now.
Many thanks to all who have contributed in different ways.
It may be that donations are resumed if a lockdown happens again, but for now we’re going to have a break. But please keep praying at home!

Thanks to those who have booked in to come to the Vicarage garden next week.
All spaces on Thursday & Friday are now taken, but there is still plenty of space over the weekend. So how about booking in so that we can plan accordingly?
We will be eating in the evening and having tea in the afternoon, all outside.
If you'd like to book some time with us, please click here to email Rachel.
Saturday 15th: 2pm, 4pm, & 7pm
Sunday 16th: 2pm, 4pm, & 7pm

Please continue to pray for Malcolm Raistrick, Marylin Bush, and all others known to you who need your prayers at this time.

Finally, a reminder that we're having two services on Sunday 13th September, which is The Arnold's final service! After the Family Service we hope to have a distanced-picnic together in the Churchyard outside.
We'll actually be moving house before this, in first week of September, but continuing in Calverley until Sunday 13th.
The official licencing service will be at 7:30pm on Tuesday 22nd September in Armley. There will be limited numbers on the night, but I’m hoping this service will be streamed so that people can watch online.

Blessings,
Phil
