Newsy Email #182 - Friday 14th August

Dear friends,

We’re really enjoying meeting people in the garden under the gazebos.
Thanks to those who have been able to join us and will do over this weekend.

How are you all doing with plans changing?
We’ve just changed plans again, as France is off the agenda. But it’s good to know that God is a change facilitator who can deal with it better than we can!

This Sunday we’re focussing on reaching out to the margins in our lives.

A quick reminder that our food collection and midweek private prayer has finished for now. It’s been a really positive initiative. I had to smile when I saw the four bottles of John Smith beer left this morning! Thanks to all who have helped with prayers and collections, particularly Sandra, John, and Margaret.

Looking further ahead, please continue to pray for Robin, Maureen, and Zoe Gamble as they prepare to arrive in October. Robin is going to lend Calverley his wisdom and experience for about 9 months, which is great.

On another note, Dave Edwards has been accepted for Reader training!
Please pray for Dave (and The Edwards) as he steps out in this way.

Many thanks to all who already do so much for our Church.

Dates for your diary:
2nd September: The Arnolds move to 22 Hill End Crescent, Armley, LS12 3PW.
6th September: The first time we'll have two services again, at 9am and 11am.
13th September: Final services for The Arnolds, followed by a picnic outside.

Blessings,
Phil
