Newsy Email #188 - Friday 11th September

Dear Friends,
This is the last Newsy Email that I will be writing for you all!

Firstly, some practical things to bear in mind. We have two services on Sunday morning: A Traditional Communion Service at 9am, and then a Family Communion Service at 11am. After the 11am service, there will be a picnic outside in the church grounds. If anyone who normally comes at 11am could possibly make it at 9am instead, then that would be appreciated.
We will do our best to fit everyone in, but at 11am it may be a challenge with social distancing, and we need to make sure everyone is safe.
The service will also be streamed from a phone on our Facebook Page, and if you miss it, my final Sermon will be available on our website afterwards, just like last week’s Sermon.

In terms of the picnic, it looks like it will be a nice day, but what I need to stress is that people must be in small bubbles using the church grounds to enjoy their time together. There's lots of room to do so.
We'll provide some drinks that will be in separate bottles and cans that people can take from a table (rather than sharing bottles of wine or juice).
I'm looking forward to chatting with people in different groups, recognising that it may seem a little unnatural not being in one large group.
However, this is what I think will work best in the current climate.

This Sunday will be a day when we give thanks for what we've seen God do in our midst over the past 7 and a half years. I hope and pray for all that it’s a day of real blessing. Many thanks to all of you for everything you've done to be a blessing to us all.

God bless,
Phil
